Who's behind STEM Sprouts?

STEM Sprouts is a youth-led nonprofit building a global network of student-run chapters, powered by Pinboard, our open-source STEM platform. What started as a small group of students is growing into a movement, with chapters and partners joining from communities everywhere.

STEM Sprouts Kenya

What began as a small pilot is now reaching students across rural Kenya, bringing hands-on STEM to communities that rarely have access to it.

    STEM Sprouts Kenya is rolling out hands-on programming across 15 schools in Siaya County.

    A dedicated focus on getting girls in rural communities into robotics, coding, and hands-on science.

  • CBC Curriculum Alignment

    Lessons are built to align with Kenya's Competency-Based Curriculum, so schools can adopt them directly.

Pinboard: real Arduino code, zero hardware required

Built and maintained by our own students, Pinboard lets young makers drag-and-drop blocks into real Arduino code, run it against a live simulated circuit, and learn through guided lessons, right in the browser. Fully open source on GitHub, with free cloud project sync for every chapter to adopt.
